Is Rampura Fort a hotel or a homestay?

The Fort is a family run heritage property. It is a lived-in property open to guests for peaceful stay.

How many people can the Fort accommodate?

The Fort has a total of 10 rooms - 6 in the horse chambers and 4 in the Elephant chambers. The rooms can comfortably accommodate 20 people.

What can we do during the stay?

There are a host of activities that one could engage in within and around the Fort. Or simply do nothing. Just unwind and relax.

Is it suitable for families?

Yes, Rampura is suitable for couples, families, and small groups. The fort is challenging for people with mobility issues. Being a fighting fort there are steep slopes and stairs to navigate.
Guests are advised to pack walking shoes.

How does one reach Rampura?

By road : The best way to reach Rampura is by road.

Delhi (6 hours), Lucknow (4hours), Agra (4hours), Kanpur/Gwalior/Jhansi ( 2.5 hours), Khajuraho (5 hours).

By Air : The nearest airports are Agra, Kanpur, Gwalior and Lucknow. Guests drive in for the rest of the journey.

By Train : The nearest railway stations are Jhansi, Gwalior, Kanpur, Orai, Etawah. One would have to drive in from there.

Fort Rampura is open from September to April. The best time to visit is November to February.
